Yuksom, 2 hours from Ravangla
Yuksom is a quiet little old town that is at a 2-hour driving distance if you are staying at Rabong or Ravangla. You will not only enjoy the 55 km journey taking you through the beautiful hilltop scenery, the place has a lot to offer to the travel enthusiasts.
There are many places that you can visit like the TashiTenka palace and Norbugang Park. If you take help from a guide, you might discover a lot more things enriching your travel experience. However, it is best for you to return back to Ravangla by the evening as street lighting gets really dim and that can cause a problem in terms of safety. Yuksom is a small town and if you are looking forward to wrap yourself in luxury, you won’t be finding many options!
Located south west from Gangtok, Namchi is one of the best places to visit if you are in love with Nature and its panoramic view. The town is just around 30km away from Ravangla and famous for its Char Dham Park. From here you can visit the beautiful tea gardens, Kanchendzonga range, rock garden, and Sherdup Choeling Monastery!
These are the 3 lesser known places in Sikkim that you can visit when you pack your bags and set out for an exciting trip. It does not have the same hustle and bustle of Gangtok, and you are going to enjoy the beauty of nature for sure.
